Indicators Central nervous system and Brain : Brain Tumor

Brain tumor is the abnormal growth of cells within the brain tissue. Brain tumors are inherently serious and life threatening as they can be cancerous and non-cancerous in nature.

The indications in a person having a brain tumor include:

• Persistent or relentless headaches particularly those that happen at night or upon awakening

• Headaches with the sign of intracranial pressure

• Early morning vomiting or vomiting unrelated to headaches

• Focal neurological dysfunction or change in vision(blurred vision, double vision or abnormal eye movements)

• Seizures or convulsions

• Weakness or loss of feeling in arms and legs

• Lack of co-ordination in walking (ataxic gait)

• Drowsiness

• Changes in personality or memory

• Changes in speech
